New Pedigree Beltex Ram at Drumrash

The Beltex Sheep Society's premier show and sale was held at the Borderway Mart, Carlisle
on August 13 & 14th, 2009
Broughton "McCosh"
The largest show of Beltex sheep to ever come under the hammer was held at Borderway Mart, Carlisle for the Beltex Sheep Society premier show and sale. The event attracted considerable interest for this increasing breed of continental sheep.
From the Broughton pen of A & M Dunlop, for the 2nd leading price of 4,800 gns, came Broughton McCosh. McCosh was purchased in partnership by John and Heather Barclay of the Beachy flock, Ayrshire and David and Jean Cruikshank of the Drumrash flock, Castle Douglas. Broughton McCosh is a full ET brother to the 5,000gn ram sold earlier. Sired by Airyolland Kingsize and out of the 2004 Royal Highland Show champion ewe.

Drumrash Lexy Tops Sale

December 13, 2008
Drumrash Lexy, a gimmer consigned by Jane Cruikshank, topped the sale at 1,600 gns.

Drumrash Lexy is a daughter of the 2,000 gns Brickrow Knockout ~ a first prizewinner at the Highland, and out of Drumrash Jordan ~ by Headlind Ee By Gum.
She is in lamb to the imported Belgian-bred Wonderboy
Drumrash Lexy sold to Logie Montgomery, Glenconner, Ochiltree.

Jane Cruikshank also produced the 1300gns Drumrash Lassie, another Knockout daughter out of Drumrash Georgina (a Brickrow Erupt daughter) she is also in-lamb to Wonderboy.
Drumrash Lassie sold for 1,300 gns to G. Cropper, Baxenden, Accrington, Lancashire.
